Sports & Social is a unique sports bar, gaming parlor, and social lounge in Atlanta. This two-level space features a 30-foot diagonal high-definition LED TV showcasing top sports events year-round, equipped with skeeball, table tennis, shuffle puck, air hockey, and a golf simulator. Our eclectic menu is perfect for sharing, and we serve cold beer and a well-appointed cocktail menu. Combining traditional sports tavern elements with classic interactive games, Sports & Social is the perfect destination for groups, professionals, and those with a competitive spirit.

Barback Responsibilities
  • Exhibit a high level of energy, professionalism, and a fun attitude while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Perform basic prep work behind the bar, including refilling ice bins, restocking beer and liquor, and cutting garnishes.
  • Change empty kegs in the keg room, including moving full kegs of beer.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and tidy environment by cleaning up spills and emptying trash cans.
  • Organize the bar and drinkware.
  • Clear and clean the bar in a timely manner.
  • Perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Offer polite, professional, and courteous customer service.
  • Communicate effectively, clearly, patiently, and humorously with coworkers and guests.
  • Complete all assigned side work.
Barback Qualifications
  • Food service experience with general knowledge of bar and nightclub operations.
  • Must speak fluent English; other languages are preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old or older, depending on state regulations.
  • Communication skills are utilized extensively when interacting with guests, cooks, wait staff, and supervisors.
  • Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agencies.
  • Reading and writing abilities are utilized frequently when taking orders, completing paperwork, etc.
  • Mathematical skills, including basic math, are used frequently.
  • May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
Physical Demands
  • Handling, carrying, or lifting items weighing up to 200 pounds (kegs, ice, glasses, trays, etc.).
  • Move about the facility efficiently and safely.
  • Handling food, objects, products, and utensils effectively and safely.
  • Bending, standing, stooping, kneeling.
  • Withstand potential climate temperature changes in assigned work areas.
