Job Description

At JINYA Ramen Bar, we're seeking a skilled Server to join our team. As a Server, you'll be responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. Your primary responsibilities will include serving guests in a professional and positive manner, utilizing JINYA's steps of service, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve guests in a professional and positive manner, including taking food and beverage orders, delivering food and beverages, and ensuring exceptional dining experiences.
  • Utilize JINYA's steps of service, up-selling techniques, and proper menu knowledge to guide guests to daily specials and ensure dietary needs are met.
  • Greet guests as they arrive, ensure proper seating arrangements, and provide a positive first impression.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely with guests and team members, both front and back of the house operations.
  • Ensure cleanliness of service stations and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Support team members in front of house operations, such as refilling beverages, organizing table arrangements, and resetting tables.
  • Respond to minor guest complaints and alert management of any major or critical guest or service concerns.
  • Promote and execute JINYA's core values of Teamwork, Hospitality, Authenticity, Creativity, and Integrity.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2-3 years of server experience, preferably in a high-volume atmosphere.
  • Outstanding and professional verbal and written skills, with strong ability to multi-task.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Willingness to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification, if needed.
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural environment.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Work Environment:

This job operates in a fun yet professional restaurant environment. Servers will frequently communicate with staff, guests, and other team members, and must be able to exchange accurate and factual information in all cases.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk and hear. The team member is required to frequently stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
