NORCAL Ambulance is seeking a skilled Human Resources Generalist to contribute to our rapidly expanding team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Employee Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for employees, addressing inquiries, concerns, and grievances. Cultivate a positive work environment by proactively identifying and resolving potential conflicts or areas of dissatisfaction. Provide guidance to supervisors and managers on employee relations matters, ensuring fairness and consistency.
  • Investigations: Conduct thorough, impartial investigations in response to employee complaints or allegations of policy violations. Collaborate with legal and management teams as needed during investigations. Ensure all investigations are timely, compliant with legal requirements, and meticulously documented.
  • HR Administration: Oversee various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and performance evaluations. Maintain strict adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Training & Development: Develop and deliver training programs focused on workplace conduct, conflict resolution, and other relevant topics. Support the professional growth and development of our staff through skill-building initiatives.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of employee interactions, investigations, and resolutions. Generate regular reports on HR metrics, such as turnover rates, employee satisfaction, and investigation outcomes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred; however, a minimum of 4 years of HR experience with a strong emphasis on employee relations and investigations will be considered.
  • Demonstrated expertise in conducting thorough and impartial HR investigations.
  • In-depth knowledge of California state and local labor regulations and laws.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective interaction with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
