Job Title: Industrial Base Technical Analyst

Job Summary:

ANSER is seeking a highly skilled Industrial Base Technical Analyst to support the Industrial Base Analysis and Sustainment (IBAS) program within the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Base Policy (IBP). The successful candidate will be part of a high-powered team that researches and analyzes strengths, weaknesses, threats, and opportunities within the global defense industrial base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and analysis on the global defense industrial base, identifying areas of strength, weakness, threat, and opportunity.
  • Recommend relevant prototyping efforts and craft relevant acquisition documents.
  • Evaluate proposed efforts and monitor program execution.
  • Conduct outreach efforts and site visits as required.
  • Develop a firm understanding of the DoD's planning, programming, budgeting, and execution (PPBE) process.

Requirements:

  • US citizen with the ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance.
  • Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Understanding of/experience in digital manufacturing, automation, Industry 4.0, metals manufacturing, operational equipment effectiveness, and in situ metrology.
  • 6+ years of relevant work experience in manufacturing, science, or technology analysis on a U.S. military Major Command Staff level or higher or in a large industrial corporation (or equivalent experience).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the DoD acquisition process and PPBE.
  • Understanding of federal acquisition management.
  • Intellectual flexibility, stability, and strong oral and written communications capabilities.
  • Ability to work well in a team setting and provide guidance to junior/mid-level engineers and technical analysts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Desired Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of systems engineering concepts and methods.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
