Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled BioReagent Technologist I to join our team at Werfen. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for the isolation and purification of proteins from recombinant and natural sources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate various types of chromatography processes, including ion exchange, affinity, hydrophobic interaction, and gel filtration in conformance with established procedures.
  • Operate centrifuges, filtration equipment, spectrophotometer, SOS-PAGE system, and all other equipment needed for production.
  • Create and submit complete, accurate, and timely device history paperwork.
  • Prepare buffers for chromatography processes, pack and clean chromatography columns, and perform in-process QC tasks as detailed in SOPs and QCMs.
  • Maintain lab in a clean and orderly manner consistent with ISO and GMP.
  • Review and understand all team and applicable plant operating and safety procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisor and other plant personnel.
  • Maintain and clear appropriate vessels for the support of the purification process.
Requirements:
  • BS in a Science field or related technical discipline with up to two years of relevant industrial experience.
  • Intermediate computer literacy (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Ability to lift and move materials per current OSHA standards.
