BioReagent Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled BioReagent Technologist to join our team at Instrumentation Laboratory Company d.b.a. Werfen. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for the isolation and purification of proteins from recombinant and natural sources.
Key Responsibilities- Set up and operate various types of chromatography processes, including ion exchange, affinity, hydrophobic interaction, and gel filtration, in accordance with established procedures.
- Operate centrifuges, filtration equipment, spectrophotometer, SOS-PAGE system, and other necessary equipment for production.
- Create and submit complete, accurate, and timely device history paperwork.
- Prepare buffers for chromatography processes and pack and clean chromatography columns.
- Perform in-process QC tasks as detailed in SOPs and QCMs.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure the lab is clean and orderly, consistent with ISO and GMP standards.
- Review and understand team and applicable plant operating and safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively with supervisor and other plant personnel.
- Maintain and clear appropriate vessels for the support of the purification process.
- Understand and follow production documents (SPMs and QCMs) in the purification of proteins.
- Bachelor's degree in a Science field or related technical discipline.
- Up to two years of relevant industrial experience.
- Intermediate computer literacy (Excel, Word, etc.).
This position requires the ability to lift and move materials per current OSHA standards.
CompensationThe hourly wage range for this position is $27 to $30, based on education, experience, skillset, knowledge, and specific needs of the business.
