Job Overview

Talbert Building Supply, Inc is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Logistics Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently loading/unloading customers' vehicles and incoming freight deliveries, handling lumber and building materials, picking orders, stocking and counting inventory, and assisting with deliveries as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Loading/Unloading: Safely load and unload building materials, which require bending, pushing, and pulling items that weigh up to 100 lbs.
  • Forklift Operation: Drive and operate a forklift, including loading, unloading, and stocking building materials with a forklift.
  • Order Fulfillment: Gather, organize, and accurately build orders for delivery or pick up using pick tickets and a forklift.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate counts of inventory and report any discrepancies to management.
  • Customer Service: Load and unload customer vehicles by hand/forklift and provide excellent customer service at all times.
Requirements:
  • Physical Abilities: Ability to regularly bend, push, pull, twist, and reach above the head with lumber, plywood, siding, trim, gravel mix, shingles, windows, doors, millwork, and other building materials weighing up to 100 lbs.
  • Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to ride, mount, and dismount a forklift for several hours throughout the day.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve common goals.
Working Environment:
  • The physical environment requires the employee to work inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
