MDS Coordinator Job Description

The MDS Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring the timely and accurate completion of all MDS assessments at Regency Pacific. This position requires a strong understanding of nursing and medical practices, as well as laws and regulations governing nursing care facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the MDS schedule within stated time frames and inform Social Workers and Education Director of pending assessments.
  • Generate and distribute the monthly MDS calendar.
  • Create new assessments according to the MDS schedule.
  • Attend quarterly and annual MDS meetings as a nursing department representative.
  • Generate annual nursing Kardex goals for the interdisciplinary care plan.
  • Generate a hard copy of all MDS assessments and obtain signatures from team members.
  • Sign MDS for completeness.
Requirements:
  • Current nursing license in good standing.
  • Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, laws, regulations, and guidelines.
