The Mortgage Associate supports Loan Officers while acquiring the skills and knowledge necessary to advance to a Loan Officer role in the future. Your Key Responsibilities
  • Learning and Development: Engage in formal training programs offered by the company, covering essential lending aspects such as loan types, credit assessment, and the loan approval process. Collaborate with management to understand mortgage rate sheets for accurate loan pricing and locking. Review various reports to grasp the mortgage process from application to closing.
  • Continuous Education and Licensing: Successfully complete required testing for mortgage licensing and maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulations through ongoing education.
  • Support and Coordination: Ensure loan applications are complete by updating any missing information and maintaining thorough notes within the Loan Origination System.
  • Business Development and Client Relations: Participate in networking events to build and sustain relationships with builders and realtors. Collaborate with Division Managers and Loan Officers on local marketing initiatives.
  • Customer-Centric Service: Ensure borrowers can easily connect through various communication channels and receive timely responses. Act as a liaison between borrowers and Loan Officers, scheduling meetings to address follow-up issues.
  • Collaboration and Adaptability: Assist in obtaining loan documents from borrowers and other entities as needed. Support internal associates through various communication methods and maintain a flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings when required.

Your Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience in mortgage or banking preferred.
  • Ability to articulate product features and benefits effectively.
  • A genuine commitment to exceeding customer expectations.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficient in standard office software applications.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
