Polysomnographic Technologist

Kaweah Health is a community healthcare organization that provides comprehensive health services to the greater Visalia area in central California.

We are seeking a skilled Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team at the Sleep Center. As a Polysomnographic Technologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality sleep diagnostic data to sleep specialists to determine accurate sleep disorder diagnoses.

• Reviews patient medical history, allergies, current medications, and patient questionnaire.
• Explains procedures to patients before, during, and after sleep studies.
• Performs patient setup, attaches electrodes and monitors according to accepted standards.
• Monitors patients via video for unusual sleep behaviors and records observations at specific time intervals.
• Ensures signals are received on the computer and all monitors are recording data throughout the sleep study.
• Recognizes normal and abnormal sleep patterns and interprets physiologic tracings.
• Maintains and operates Sleep Lab equipment safely and correctly.

• CA Polysomnographic Technologist certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) or CA Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• BLS certification.
