Polysomnographic Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team at the Sleep Center. As a Polysomnographic Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality sleep diagnostic data to our sleep specialists, enabling them to make accurate diagnoses and develop effective treatment plans.

• Reviews patient medical history, allergies, current medications, and patient questionnaire to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment.
• Explains procedures to patients before, during, and after sleep studies to ensure their comfort and understanding.
• Performs patient setup, attaching electrodes and monitors according to accepted standards.
• Monitors patients via video for unusual sleep behaviors and records observations at specific time intervals.
• Ensures signals are received on the computer and all monitors are recording data throughout the sleep study.
• Recognizes normal and abnormal sleep patterns, correctly interprets physiologic tracings, and intervenes in emergency situations as needed.
• Maintains and operates Sleep Lab equipment safely and correctly, inspecting and testing equipment to ensure functionality.

• CA Polysomnographic Technologist certification and certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT); or CA Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• BLS certification.
