Job Title: Registered Nurse

Virtua is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Med Surg/Tele Unit team. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with our healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Job Summary:

As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care through outcome identification and evidence-based practice. You will work closely with our healthcare team to coordinate patient care and communicate effectively with patients and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
  • Administer and monitor therapeutic interventions and regimes.
  • Effectively manage rapidly changing situations and prioritize patient care.
  • Participate in clinical decision-making and collaborate with the healthcare team.
  • Educate patients and families on disease processes, individual care needs, and wellness.
  • Delegate and monitor care rendered by other members of the nursing department and healthcare team.
  • Demonstrate standard precautions and patient safety principles in practice.
  • Participate in orientation, education, and development of the healthcare team.
  • Identify and participate in performance improvement activities.
Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you must have a valid NJ RN License and demonstrate knowledge of nursing skills, hospital practices, procedures, and standards. You must also have strong communication skills and be able to coordinate efforts of a team of care providers.
