Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain positive and effective communication with customers, colleagues, and suppliers.
- Handle sales transactions at the counter and via phone, including order processing, pricing inquiries, and invoicing.
- Identify and recommend appropriate replacement equipment based on customer requirements.
- Conduct basic assessments of electromechanical devices to determine repair needs or replacements.
- Manage shipping and receiving tasks, primarily for small packages.
- Create job tickets, document incoming items, and accurately label parts and equipment for the shop.
- Ensure safe and efficient delivery of products to customers and pickups from suppliers.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with purchasing to reorder necessary parts.
- Obtain forklift certification to facilitate the loading and unloading of vehicles.
- Assist management in organizing parts and equipment for customer pickups.
- Process customer deposits for repair jobs.
- Support the operations manager with various projects related to the counter and repair shop.
Qualifications:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal abilities to foster effective relationships with coworkers, customers, and suppliers.
- Proficient problem-solving skills to implement effective corrective actions.
- Ability to learn and adhere to job-related training, operational, and safety protocols.
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all work and sales orders.
- Willingness to learn to operate a forklift and overhead crane safely.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- A valid driver's license is necessary.
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM with a 1-hour lunch break.
Note: Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check, drug screening, and physical examination.
