Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer Assistant Transmission to join our team at Burns & McDonnell. The successful candidate will assist in the design and development of electrical transmission projects, working closely with project teams to create world-class designs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design and development of electrical transmission projects, including the creation of electrical plans and specifications.
  • Work closely with project teams to ensure that designs meet client requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to review and modify production drawings, ensuring that they meet industry standards and regulations.
  • Assist in the research and compilation of project-related data, including electrical codes and standards.
  • Perform field inspections, measurements, and calculations to ensure that projects are completed to the required standards.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the transmission industry.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards, including IEEE and NEC.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in electrical analysis programs, including RISA and AutoCAD.
