About the Role

Solventum is seeking a skilled Plant Electrician/Mechanic to join our team in Meriden, CT. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical/control systems, as well as performing independent preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on web handling production equipment, ultrasonic welders, pleaters, pumps, heat exchangers, building HVAC, and facility utilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical/control systems, including drive control components, I/O, PLC devices, and logic.
  • Perform independent preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on web handling production equipment, ultrasonic welders, pleaters, pumps, heat exchangers, building HVAC, and facility utilities.
  • Document work in maintenance tracking systems and develop/refine standard work for maintenance activities.
  • Perform basic welding, machining, and fabrication tasks using shop equipment, power tools, and precision measurement instruments.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth operation of the facility.

Requirements

  • Possess a High School Diploma / GED or higher.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of mechanical, electrical, or mechatronic work in a private, public, government, or military environment.
  • Ability to work rotating weekends, overtime, or holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Possess or be in the last 6 months of pursuing a two-year technical degree or certificate program in an engineering or maintenance-related field.
  • Possess good documentation skills and can read and understand electrical/mechanical prints.
  • Basic understanding of predictive/preventative maintenance and condition monitoring techniques.

Work Environment

This is an onsite position located at 400 Research Pkwy, Meriden, CT 06450. No travel is required.
