Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team in Burke, Virginia.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality radiation therapy treatments to patients with cancer and other conditions.
- Collaborate with medical staff, healthcare team members, and supervisors to ensure accurate and effective treatment plans.
- Operate linear accelerators, simulators, and Computed Tomography machines to administer radiation treatments.
- Perform simulation procedures to verify proper functioning of equipment and ensure accurate patient positioning.
- Document patient records and treatment plans, including any corrections or adjustments.
- Participate in department in-services, conferences, and meetings to stay up-to-date on new technology and techniques.
- Associate degree in Radiation Therapy or Certification.
- 2 years of experience as a Staff Therapist in a Radiation Therapy department with experience in linear accelerators and patient simulation.
- American Registered Radiologic Technologist required upon start.
- Basic Life Support from AHA required upon start.
- VA License highly preferred.
