Key Responsibilities
  • Game Day Operations: Assist with tournament operations, including announcing games, playing music, running the scoreboard, and relaying messages to the Tournament Director.
  • Tournament Knowledge: Learn 'The Ripken Way' to operate world-class baseball tournaments and develop expertise in tournament operations through hands-on guidance from seasoned professionals.
  • Customer Service: Create a fun and dynamic atmosphere for guests, develop camaraderie, and act as a positive role model, providing extraordinary customer service and maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with staff to achieve objectives effectively and efficiently, while providing a once-in-a-lifetime experience for participants.
Requirements
  • Communication Skills: Possess top-tier communication skills and an outgoing, friendly personality.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity and capability to operate an iPad, sound system, and microphone.
  • Physical Demands: Ability and willingness to physically perform all job responsibilities, including working in extreme heat or cold.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including weekends and evenings.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Customer Service Experience: Prior work experience in a customer service environment.
  • Sports Industry Experience: Previous experience within the sports sector, with a genuine passion for sports, particularly baseball/softball.
