Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Custodial Assistant to join our team at The Ripken Experience Aberdeen. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our complex, including trash removal and janitorial services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the daily cleaning operations, including pre-event, during event, and post-event cleaning.
  • Perform tasks assigned through completion, including trash removal and janitorial services.
  • Be reliable and ensure regular attendance for designated shifts.
  • Deliver excellent work and maintain high standards, regardless of the situation.

Requirements:

  • Possess cleaning product knowledge and proper usage of products.
  • Strong detail-orientation, with ability to problem-solve.
  • A friendly personality and excellent communication skills, strong initiative, and high-energy.
  • Work Schedule will vary; nights and weekends will be required based on business needs.
  • Absorb training and demonstrate the initiative, desire, and drive to help uphold the values established by the Ripken name and brand.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferred experience in custodial/housekeeping services field in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in a sports venue or large meeting venues.
  • Knowledge of Bloodborne Pathogens regulations.

Working Conditions / Special Physical Requirements:

  • Perform job responsibilities in a professional manner, while projecting a positive Company image.
  • Stand and/or walk during entire shift in all types of weather conditions.
  • Lift and/or carry no less than 50 lbs.; ability to reach and bend.
  • Recognize and avoid all hazards which may include, but not limited to slipping, tripping, falling.
  • Adhere to Ripken policies and procedures.
  • Work well with management, staff, and customers.
