2. Ensure timely communication and maintain the security and proper handling of goods.
3. Provide guidance and supervision to helpers, fostering good work habits through both instruction and example.
4. Develop and manage assigned routes, ensuring thorough preparation for each pick-up.
5. Maintain the safety and security of the vehicle and equipment, including securing tools at the end of the day.
6. Conduct daily inspections of vehicle components such as air, water, and oil to ensure optimal performance.
7. Report any incidents involving the vehicle, personal injury, or property damage to the supervisor immediately.
8. Represent The Salvation Army with professionalism, ensuring courteous treatment of all customers.
9. Communicate any issues related to pick-ups to the supervisor through the dispatcher.
10. Oversee the conduct of truck helpers.
11. Utilize provided safety equipment when performing significant lifting or moving tasks.
12. Maintain a professional appearance, including clean attire and grooming standards.
13. Assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle and support other teams as needed.
