Job Description

As a highly skilled Lead Painting Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the high-quality finish of various Beck components and actuators.

  • You will be responsible for performing deburring, sandblasting, phosphatizing, paint preparation; prime and finish paint various Beck components and actuators with precision and attention to detail.
  • Maintaining all equipment and work areas in a clean, safe, and orderly fashion is essential to your success in this role.
  • You will also be responsible for ensuring accuracy, revision level, and validity of production documentation and inspection tools prior to starting a job.
  • Ability to analyze and resolve challenging painting problems, and recommend process and tooling improvements is required.
  • Your daily labor time recording and accurate entries on applicable manufacturing documentation are crucial for productivity and efficiency.
  • Assisting other departments as business demands require, and maintaining correct daily attendance and punctuality is necessary for performing the job.
  • Predictable and reliable attendance is required.

Requirements:

Education:

  • A High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent is required for this position.
  • A 2-year technical school degree or completion of an apprenticeship program is preferred.

Experience & Other Requirements:

  • Must have a thorough knowledge of deburring, sandblasting, phosphatizing, and paint preparation processes and be proficient in the setup of this equipment without supervision.
  • Advanced understanding of prime and finish painting procedures and ability to set up paint application equipment without guidance is necessary.
  • Able to work from oral or written instructions without supervision, and possess strong initiative, integrity, and professional qualities.
  • The ability to train others, possess effective communication and interpersonal skills, and speak, write, and read English fluently is required.
  • Possess basic computer skills, and physical requirements include standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally, and specific vision abilities.

Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
