Overview:

We are looking for a meticulous and highly organized Payroll Specialist to enhance our operations. The successful candidate will possess a solid foundation in corporate finance and have experience with payroll management systems, particularly ADP Workforce Now. The Payroll Specialist will be accountable for gathering and inputting payroll information, including the calculation and administration of all wage garnishments. This role requires a commitment to uphold the organization's values with a high level of ethics and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Input new hires into the ADP system.
  • Manage all employee status modifications within ADP.
  • Oversee and comprehend payroll benefit policies and deductions in ADP, including tracking information for annual ACA compliance.
  • Maintain and verify employee leave balances and related policies.
  • Execute bi-weekly payroll processing.
  • Collaborate with ADP and state revenue agencies as necessary regarding tax modifications.
  • Generate reports in ADP as required, and distribute weekly and monthly summaries to management.
  • Handle all payroll-related reporting tasks.
  • Administer all monthly commission payments.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Associate's degree or two or more years of relevant experience and/or training; or a suitable combination of education and experience.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities and capacity to manage sensitive/confidential matters with discretion and professionalism.
  • Motivated for internal advancement and personal development.
  • Ability to work autonomously or collaboratively within a team.
  • Highly organized and efficient; must be capable of following instructions and managing multiple tasks.
  • Experience in payroll processing is preferred.
  • Must have a solid understanding of payroll systems or be technologically adept to maximize the use of payroll software.
  • Creative thinker with demonstrated problem-solving capabilities.
  • Technologically savvy with knowledge of digital file structures, organization, and maintenance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to swiftly learn new software/systems.
