Overview:

We are in search of a meticulous and highly organized Payroll Specialist. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in corporate finance and familiarity with payroll systems, particularly ADP Workforce Now. The Payroll Specialist will be tasked with compiling and inputting payroll information, including the calculation and management of all wage garnishments. This role upholds the organization's values with a strong commitment to ethics and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Input new employee data into ADP.
  • Process all employee status modifications in ADP.
  • Maintain and comprehend payroll benefit policies and deductions in ADP, including monitoring information for annual ACA reporting.
  • Oversee and verify employee time-off balances and policies.
  • Execute bi-weekly payroll processing.
  • Collaborate with ADP and state revenue services as necessary regarding tax changes.
  • Generate reports in ADP as required, distributing weekly and monthly reports to management.
  • Handle all payroll-related reporting.
  • Manage all monthly commission processing.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Associate's degree or two or more years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities and capacity to manage sensitive/confidential situations with professionalism and diplomacy.
  • Motivated for internal growth and development.
  • Able to work independently or collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Highly organized and efficient; capable of following instructions and managing multiple tasks.
  • Experience in payroll processing is preferred.
  • Familiarity with payroll systems or a technology-oriented mindset to maximize the use of payroll systems.
  • Innovative thinker with demonstrated problem-solving capabilities.
  • Technologically adept with an understanding of digital file structures, organization, and maintenance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to quickly adapt to new software/systems.
