Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physician to join our team at the University Medical Center of El Paso. As a Physician, you will be responsible for providing primary and preventive health services to patients in our clinics. You will work under the direction of the El Paso County Hospital District and be accountable for overseeing the medical and health affairs of our clinics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care and services in our clinics
- Oversee the medical and health affairs of our clinics, including quality of patient care
- Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and stakeholders
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to resolve clinic issues and improve patient outcomes
- Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical analysis, performance improvement, and outcomes
- Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and community members
Requirements:
- Two years of experience providing primary care services, preferably in an underserved area
- Experience working in a primary care medical home and with Electronic Medical Record Meaningful Use
- Active Texas Medical License and Board certification in Family Practice
- Doctor of Medicine Degree (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Degree (DO) and completion of an ACGME/AOA accredited residency training program in Family Practice
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Knowledge of border health issues and culturally sensitive
