Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our interdisciplinary team. As a Speech Language Pathologist at El Paso Rehabilitation Hospital, you will be responsible for assessing patients, providing care in accordance with physician's orders, and modifying treatment to achieve goals. You will also communicate with patients, family members, caregivers, and healthcare team members to promote maximum benefits of care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform patient assessments to identify communication and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patient goals
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care
  • Communicate with patients, family members, and caregivers to promote understanding and engagement in the rehabilitation process
  • Participate in performance improvement and program development activities to enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's and master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a related field
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or eligibility to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow (CFY)
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state
  • Current Basic Life Support/CPR certification
