Job Title: Maternal Health Care Specialist

At UnitedHealthcare, we're committed to simplifying the healthcare experience and creating healthier communities. As a Maternal Health Care Specialist, you'll play a vital role in promoting healthy pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum outcomes for mothers and babies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide evidence-based education to promote healthy pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum outcomes
  • Create a positive experience and relationship with members and their families
  • Help members set goals and develop a care plan to achieve those goals
  • Proactively engage members to manage their own health and healthcare
  • Support social determinants of health needs
  • Perform outreach to providers, hospitals, members, and clinics
  • Attend community events
  • Able and willing to travel within the assigned region
Requirements:
  • Current, unrestricted independent licensure as a Registered Nurse in Kansas
  • 2+ years of experience working within the maternal and child health population
  • 1+ years of experience with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Located in the state of Kansas
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of time in assigned region to visit Medicaid members in their homes and/or other settings
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of the culture and values of community
  • Case Management experience
  • Background in Managed Care
