Maternal Health Nurse Specialist Opportunity

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide evidence-based education to promote healthy pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum outcomes
  • Create a positive experience and relationship with members and your team
  • Help members set goals and develop care plans to achieve those goals
  • Proactively engage members to manage their own health and healthcare
  • Support social determinants of health needs
  • Perform outreach to providers, hospitals, members, and clinics
  • Attend community events
  • Able and willing to travel within the assigned region per business needs

Requirements:
  • Current, unrestricted independent licensure as a Registered Nurse in Kansas
  • 2+ years of experience working within the maternal and child health population
  • 1+ years of experience with MS Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of time in assigned region to visit Medicaid members in their homes and/or other settings
  • Access to a designated quiet workspace in your home with the ability to secure Protected Health Information (PHI)
  • Live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group-approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of the culture and values of community
  • Case Management experience
  • Background in Managed Care
  • Located in the state of Kansas
