Position Overview
The Mixologist plays a pivotal role in crafting and serving a diverse array of beverages, while also imparting knowledge to patrons regarding our exquisite selection of cocktails and wines.
Effective communication with fellow front-of-house staff is crucial in this position, particularly when preparing signature drinks and offering food and beverage suggestions to guarantee an exceptional guest experience that aligns with the esteemed standards of Estiatorio Milos.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently prepares and serves beverages for guests and servers in a welcoming manner.
- Collaborates with bartenders and waitstaff, responding to reasonable requests from management.
- Ensures uniformity in beverage preparation, presentation, and quality in accordance with established recipes.
- Comprehends the operational framework and principles of the restaurant and bar.
- Maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of designated work areas, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Possesses thorough knowledge of all menu offerings, liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic options; ensures bar is stocked to required levels.
- Understands designated glassware, ingredients, preparation techniques, and garnishes for each beverage.
- Completes opening and closing duties as necessary.
- Greets and serves guests seated at the bar, providing food and beverage service.
- Accurately inputs orders into the point-of-sale system and ensures the proper transmission of food orders.
- Acts as a liaison with bar staff and management to assist with inventory oversight for bar supplies.
- Delivers guest checks and adheres to all cash handling and credit policies when processing payments.
- Reports any incidents or unusual occurrences to the supervising manager.
- Extends courteous farewells to guests upon their departure and encourages their return.
Qualifications
- At least two (2) years of experience as a bartender in a high-end dining environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service abilities.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team in a fast-paced setting.
- Capable of multitasking and receptive to feedback and guidance.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
- Experience in inventory management is a plus.
