We are seeking a highly skilled Service Coordinator to join our team at the Gene B. Glick Company. As a Service Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our residents receive the support and services they need to maintain their independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide case management services to residents, including intakes, referrals, and assessments to identify their needs and develop tailored service plans.
- Manage the operating budget to control expenses and ensure efficient use of resources.
- Establish and maintain relationships with community agencies and service providers to ensure access to necessary services.
- Educate residents on available services, application procedures, and client rights, providing advocacy as needed.
- Develop and maintain a directory of providers for use by property staff and residents.
- Monitor and report on resident progress, ensuring timely completion of reports and updates.
- Provide program support by organizing support programs, assisting residents in building informal support networks, and coordinating training on tenancy obligations.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive resident services, education, and life enrichment program.
- Oversee the development and implementation of resident activities and events.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Gerontology, Psychology, or Counseling, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- 2-3 years of progressively responsible experience in social service delivery.
- Experience with PC-based word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Demonstrated ability to advocate, organize, problem-solve, and provide results for the population served.
- Able to work a varied schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Valid driver's license in the state of residence.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend the English language.
