Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide case management services to residents, including intakes, referrals, and assessments to identify their needs and develop tailored service plans.
  • Manage the operating budget to control expenses and ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with community agencies and service providers to ensure access to necessary services.
  • Educate residents on available services, application procedures, and client rights, providing advocacy as needed.
  • Develop and maintain a directory of providers for use by property staff and residents.
  • Monitor and report on resident progress, ensuring timely completion of reports and updates.
  • Provide program support by organizing support programs, assisting residents in building informal support networks, and coordinating training on tenancy obligations.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive resident services, education, and life enrichment program.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of resident activities and events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Gerontology, Psychology, or Counseling, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 2-3 years of progressively responsible experience in social service delivery.
  • Experience with PC-based word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Demonstrated ability to advocate, organize, problem-solve, and provide results for the population served.
  • Able to work a varied schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Valid driver's license in the state of residence.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend the English language.
