Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Preschool Teacher- Early Learning professional to join our team at the YMCA OF SUPERIOR CA. As a key member of our early childhood education team, you will be responsible for providing guidance and support to staff, promoting a positive environment for children, parents, and staff, and demonstrating a strong understanding of child development and family needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Planning and Implementation: Plan and implement programs that align with the goals and policies of the YMCA, coordinating activities that meet the developmental needs of children.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide leadership and supervision to staff, ensuring the health and safety of children and providing a positive experience for each child.
  • Communication and Relationships: Communicate effectively with families, maintain positive relationships, and conduct conferences as needed.
  • Day-to-Day Operations: Provide day-to-day leadership to staff and volunteers, following YMCA policies and procedures, and assisting in recruitment efforts.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: 18 years of age or older, current state-approved first-aid certification, current state-approved community CPR certification, TB test by the Manitou method, and a minimum of 12 college quarter credits in early childhood/child development or equivalent.
  • Skills and Qualities: Strong communication and leadership skills, ability to create an inclusive environment, and knowledge of culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate practices.
Working Conditions

The ideal candidate will be able to plan, lead, and participate in activities, and will be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on providing excellent customer service.

Compensation

The salary for this position is $18.00-$19.00 per hour.
