Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Childhood Educator to join our team at the YMCA of Superior CA. As a Preschool Teacher- Early Learning, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for young children to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement engaging and developmentally appropriate programs for preschool-age children.
  • Supervise and support a team of staff to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of children.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with families, providing regular communication and updates on their child's progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and inclusive program environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in early childhood education and implement new ideas and strategies to enhance the program.
Requirements
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Current state-approved first-aid certification.
  • Current state-approved community CPR certification.
  • TB test by the Manitou method.
  • Early Childhood programs: 12 or more college quarter credits in early childhood/child development, or possesses an equivalent educational background, or is a certified child development associate (preferred).
  • Experience in working with children the same age as those to be supervised.
  • One year of experience or more in program planning preferred.
  • Knowledge of culturally relevant and developmentally appropriate practices.
