Role Overview:
The Security Operations Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of the Distribution Center. This position involves monitoring all activities related to facility security and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage access control for all incoming and outgoing traffic within the facility.
  • Document the arrival of vehicles and ensure compliance with necessary paperwork.
  • Conduct thorough checks of outgoing vehicles to verify load accuracy.
  • Perform routine physical inspections throughout the facility as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a Distribution Center environment is preferred.
  • Background in security operations is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to handle conflict and stressful situations effectively.
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.

Essential Duties:

  • Oversee the entrance and exit of personnel and vehicles to maintain security.
  • Prevent unauthorized access to restricted areas.
  • Utilize gate controls to manage entry and exit for employees and visitors.
  • Verify the identification of authorized personnel.
  • Guide visitors and drivers to designated areas within the facility.
  • Inspect outgoing traffic to safeguard company property.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle entries and exits.
  • Document daily activities and any irregularities, including theft or damage.
  • Answer calls and direct them to appropriate departments.
  • May operate a company vehicle for security checks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
This role requires the ability to perform various physical tasks, including:

  • Extended periods of sitting, standing, and moving.
  • Occasional lifting of objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
  • Working in a distribution center environment with potential temperature fluctuations and noise.
