Your Responsibilities:
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with inquiries regarding their insurance and appointments.
- Manage record-keeping, invoicing, database upkeep, and customer service issues.


Key Duties of the Healthcare Billing Coordinator

  • Welcome patients promptly.
  • Answer phone calls in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Enhance patient satisfaction and optimize provider time by scheduling appointments efficiently.
  • Ensure patient appointments are maintained by notifying providers of arrivals and delays.
  • Conduct reminder calls for appointment confirmations and order pickups.
  • Record and update financial information, collect patient payments, and manage third-party claims.
  • Oversee office inventory and equipment by monitoring stock levels and coordinating with management for orders.
  • Safeguard patient rights by maintaining confidentiality in line with HIPAA regulations.
  • Verify medical and vision insurance eligibility based on current plan coverage.
  • Maintain office systems and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Perform additional administrative tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications for the Healthcare Billing Coordinator

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare office environment.
  • Familiarity with services, products, and insurance plans is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Excellent customer service abilities.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
  • Effective problem-solving capabilities.
