Job Summary

Paradise Valley Community College (PVCC) is seeking an Instructional Designer to join the Center for Teaching and Learning Employee Engagement (CTLEE) department. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and assessing instructional systems and emerging technologies to support faculty and staff in creating high-quality learning experiences for students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consult and collaborate with faculty on pedagogically sound and effective use of instructional design strategies.
  • Research, develop, and facilitate the implementation of instructional applications technology, including web-based resources, AI technologies, multimedia integration, assessment, and other instructional systems for course development and improvement.
  • Create and facilitate professional development learning opportunities supporting current best practices of course design and technology integration.
  • Provide leadership, training, and support to enhance digital learning environments and create new services and resources that integrate current pedagogical practices and emerging technologies.
  • Provide on-demand support for faculty and staff regarding their teaching, learning, and technology needs.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in instructional design, training and development, educational technology, or a related field, and four years of experience in instructional design and development, program and systems development, and/or assessment and evaluation. A Master's degree in Educational Technology or a closely related field is preferred.
