Job Title: Sr. Tool Design Engineer

F&B MFG LLC is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Tool Design Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Tool Engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing tools and fixtures to support our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop tools and fixtures to meet manufacturing requirements
  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to resolve design problems and improve tooling and manufacturing processes
  • Apply algebraic and geometric formulas and standard tool engineering concepts to develop tool configurations
  • Utilize standard vendor-supplied tooling components in tool designs
  • Develop manufacturing processes, create BOMs and routers, and design and deploy manufacturing tools and fixtures
  • Collect and utilize process data to improve tooling and manufacturing processes
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • At least 5 years of hands-on tooling experience; sheet metal fabrication experience a plus
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret work instructions and procedure manuals
  • Ability to apply GD&T effectively to tool designs
  • Proficiency with Solidworks or similar CAD software and MS Office products
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts, fundamentals of plane and solid geometry, and trigonometry
