Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, including Company, OSHA, and site-specific guidelines.
- Conduct and manage field quality assurance tests and maintain accurate production records.
- Investigate and resolve issues related to drawing interpretations, conflicts, and discrepancies.
- Perform basic field surveys, address geometry challenges, and create drawings or sketches to facilitate construction activities.
- Prepare Requests for Information (RFIs) and assist in the development of change order documentation and claims analysis.
- Guarantee that all installations adhere to the Company Quality Control Manual.
- Manage invoice tracking and ensure proper documentation and submissions.
- Execute detailed geotechnical and structural analyses while collaborating with the engineering team to advance project work.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities and client relationships.
- Prepare geotechnical designs, cost estimates, and proposals for ground support solutions based on project documentation.
- Communicate effectively with clients, engineers, and architects to facilitate the sales process and finalize contracts.
- Negotiate contract terms to ensure mutual benefit.
- Support marketing and business development initiatives by participating in trade shows, conferences, and other promotional events.
- Deliver technical presentations to potential clients and assist in the educational training of Company clientele.
Qualifications
- A solid understanding of fundamental geotechnical design and calculation principles.
- Strong observational skills and a diligent work ethic.
- Exceptional organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail, particularly in documentation and task completion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD is advantageous.
Education and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, or a related discipline is required. Previous experience in geotechnical construction and techniques is preferred, including knowledge of drawings, specifications, building materials, surveying, design, or geotechnical work.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to navigate facilities in various weather conditions.
- Willingness to travel overnight as required for the role.
