About the Role:

As a Senior Supplier Engineer at Boston Scientific, you will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of assigned key sourced finished medical device (SFMD) suppliers. Your goal will be to drive improvements to ensure product quality and delivery. You will collaborate with SFMD suppliers on current products and new product development activities, including process development, validation, capacity analysis, and capability studies. You will also review and manage supplier change requests through the Supplier Change Impact Assessment (SCIA) and drive change notice and approval processes. Additionally, you will troubleshoot issues related to designs, materials, or processes of new and existing products and analyze test results to provide summarized reports and documentation on findings. You will lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams such as R&D and process development to ensure project success and support qualification activities through the design and coordination of engineering tests and experiments, including DOE. You will also review and provide feedback on SFMD supplier IQ/OQ/PQ, test method validations, and PFMEA. You will provide onsite training and guidance to SFMD supplier operators and technicians as needed.

Responsibilities:

Manage projects for sustaining supplier's manufacturing process, continuous improvement, cost reduction initiatives, new product onboarding, and new supplier integration
Collaborate with SFMD suppliers on current products and new product development activities
Review and manage supplier change requests through the Supplier Change Impact Assessment (SCIA)
Drive change notice and approval processes
Troubleshoot issues related to designs, materials, or processes of new and existing products
Analyze test results to provide summarized reports and documentation on findings
Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams such as R&D and process development to ensure project success
Support qualification activities through the design and coordination of engineering tests and experiments, including DOE
Review and provide feedback on SFMD supplier IQ/OQ/PQ, test method validations, and PFMEA
Provide onsite training and guidance to SFMD supplier operators and technicians as needed

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in any engineering discipline with at least 4 years of engineering experience
Minimum 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
Strong technical acumen and decision-making skills
Ability to solve problems and implement solutions
Experience leading and influencing internal and external teams to drive results
Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete projects and tasks
Ability to travel 20% (globally)
