Job Summary

STGi is seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse to provide high-quality care to our residents at the Georgia Ware Veterans Home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
  • Lead and supervise a team of nursing staff, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and preferences of each resident.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Monitor and report any changes in resident status, ensuring timely interventions and adjustments to care plans.
  • Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance resident care.
  • Provide education and training to nursing staff, promoting best practices and evidence-based care.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring they align with facility goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Current unencumbered active license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) or LPN/LVN in the state of Georgia.
  • Minimum one year of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related healthcare facility.
  • Training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Knowledge of nursing and medical practices, procedures, and laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
  • Moderate physical activity, requiring handling of average-weight objects up to 25 pounds or standing and/or walking for more than four (4) hours per day.
  • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
  • Required to respond to any medical emergency within the clinic, where a fast walk or job may be necessary to provide assistance.
