Job Summary

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our NICU team. As an RN in the NICU, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, evaluate, and educate patients and families.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver nursing care in the NICU, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients
  • Communicate effectively with various healthcare team members, patients, and their families
  • Coordinate and delegate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues
  • Update and manage patient records
  • Enter and interpret computerized data/information
  • Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC's nursing organization
  • Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects
Requirements
  • Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
  • 1+ years of RN NICU experience required
  • Certification in basic life support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) certification required in certain units
  • Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years
  • Relevant clinical experience and/or specialty, certification required for certain practice areas
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Physical ability to meet job responsibilities
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Fluency in another language a plus
