Job Summary

The Clinical Educator plays a pivotal role in shaping the professional growth and competence of learners in various settings. This position requires a deep understanding of educational expertise, with a focus on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing orientation, continuing education, and in-service education programs.

The ideal candidate will be accountable for planning, implementing, evaluating, and revising needs-based educational systems that support clinical practice and regulatory requirements. Additionally, they will contribute to the profession's body of knowledge by participating in IRB-approved nursing research and translating the research into current nursing practice.

This role is a key contributor to the organization's mission of delivering excellent patient care and advancing nursing's vision of setting a new standard of excellence in autonomous and accountable nursing practice.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement educational programs that meet the needs of learners and support clinical practice
  • Assess and evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and make recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to design and deliver educational content that meets regulatory requirements
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to education and clinical practice
  • Participate in nursing research and translate findings into practice
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree or higher, required
  • Master of Science in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing or current enrollment in an accredited Master of Science in Nursing degree program, preferred
  • Current unencumbered, Arkansas nursing license required
  • Minimum of three years of experience in nursing practice required
  • Previous experience as unit educator, system educator, or other area of nursing education (i.e. preceptor, clinical instructor, staff education, or in-services) required
  • Professional Board Certification must be obtained within two years of hire date
