About the Role

The Surgical Technologist plays a vital role in the healthcare team, working under the supervision of the Registered Nurse and Surgeon to provide care for patients undergoing surgical procedures. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assume responsibility for the care of patients undergoing surgical procedures, including infants, children, adults, and geriatric patients.
  • Follow policies, procedures, and standards of the Health System to ensure safe and effective care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • Proof of high school or equivalent education.
  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or currently enrolled in a job-related clinical program.
  • Basic keyboarding skills and clinical experience are preferred.
  • Certification is also preferred.
