Job Summary:
Account Executives perform routine responsibilities and are primary points of contact for clients they oversee. They develop coverage strategies and plans with occasional guidance or direct supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform daily service on assigned tasks by Producers with the agency's written procedures, including account transactions, quote and issue policies, ID cards, proposal endorsements, certificates, claims, renewals, follow-up, and correspondence.
  2. Respond to client inquiries, incoming mail, and company request needs in a timely manner.
  3. Insurance marketing and sales.
  4. Collect renewal data on assigned accounts.
  5. Claims support.
  6. Develop coverage strategies and plans as necessary.
  7. Review new/renewal policies and endorsements to ensure items were received as ordered.
  8. Maintain accuracy of client data in agency management system (Applied Systems / EPIC).
  9. Document all activities in agency management system (Applied Systems / EPIC).
  10. Understand and utilize upload, download, and interface technology.
  11. Assist other departments in securing and/or providing information necessary to issue appropriate policies in their department for which we have a mutual client.
  12. Keep Producers informed of all important activities on their accounts, including being sensitive to potential problems and informing management.
  13. Keep current with industry trends, including participation in educational seminars and classes for improvement of insurance/sales skills and license compliance.
  14. Maintain knowledge of current underwriting requirements of contracted insurance carriers.
  15. Maintain knowledge of policy provisions and any changes in these provisions.
  16. Complete other functions and assignments as assigned, including back-up duties.

Requirements:
Active Property & Casualty License Required
Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and be proactive
Computer skills, specifically Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts, such as discounts, interest, premiums, commissions, proportions, and percentages

Reasoning Skills:
Ability to solve practical problems, interpret a variety of instructions, and deal with a variety of variables furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Education/Experience:
High School diploma required, Associate Degree or higher preferred
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial lines, Real Estate, CPCU, or special training course completion a plus
