ESL Teacher

Job Summary:

Fayette County Public Schools is seeking a highly qualified ESL Teacher to join our team. As an ESL Teacher, you will be responsible for implementing learning plans, providing differentiated instruction, and supervising modifications to meet the needs of English language learners.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement learning plans that cater to the diverse needs of ESL students
• Provide instruction that is tailored to the language proficiency levels of students
• Supervise and support teachers in implementing ESL strategies and modifications
• Conduct ELPA assessments and progress monitoring to inform instruction
• Collaborate with other teachers and administrators to develop and implement ESL plans
• Consult with parents and guardians to ensure student success

Requirements:

• Active TN teaching license with an endorsement in ESL education
• Previous experience teaching ESL is preferred, but not mandatory
• Essential skills include completing ESL plans, working in a PLC with other teachers and administrators, and conducting parent meetings
