Job Summary:

Fayette County Public Schools is seeking a highly qualified ESL Educator to join our team. As an ESL Educator, you will be responsible for implementing all aspects of English language acquisition, including developing and implementing learning plans, providing differentiated instruction, and assessing student progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement learning plans that cater to the diverse needs of ESL students
  • Provide differentiated instruction to ensure students receive the support they need to succeed
  • Assess student progress through regular benchmarking and progress monitoring
  • Consult with other teachers and administrators to ensure effective collaboration and communication
  • Conduct ELPA assessments to identify areas of improvement
  • Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) to stay up-to-date on best practices in ESL education

Requirements:

  • Active TN teaching license with an endorsement in ESL education
  • Previous experience teaching ESL is preferred, but not mandatory
  • Essential skills include completing ESL plans, working in a PLC, and conducting parent meetings
