Position Overview: The Family Assessment Intervention and Response Program is dedicated to providing community-oriented case management for families referred by child welfare agencies. The primary focus is to evaluate safety and offer essential resources to children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough investigations into reports of child maltreatment, including abuse, neglect, and dependency.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate the safety and welfare of all children residing in the household.
  • Facilitate referrals to community-based services as necessary.
  • Adhere strictly to the program's model, principles, and practices.
  • Manage an assigned caseload effectively.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation in the agency's database system, including assessments, service plans, safety plans, case notes, and discharge plans, in compliance with agency and state regulations.
  • Travel primarily within the designated counties, with occasional statewide travel as required.
