Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Equipment Technician to join our team at Southeast Health.

Responsibilities

  • Perform adjustments and calibrations to biomedical equipment in a timely manner to ensure patient satisfaction.
  • Conduct initial inspections of all diagnostic, therapeutic, and clinical equipment purchased, leased, rented, or loaned to Southeast Health, adhering to manufacturer standards.
  • Maintain accurate preventive maintenance records on each piece of equipment, including prompted information, purchase date, and documentation of preventive maintenance and/or repairs.
  • Troubleshoot, calibrate, and/or repair TVs, pneumatic tube systems, nurse-call systems, and other equipment to minimize inconvenience to patients, visitors, and hospital personnel.
  • Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of facility communication equipment for patients, visitors, and hospital personnel, following manufacturer specifications and standards.
  • Coordinate the maintenance of an adequate inventory of parts for routine maintenance and emergency repairs of Biomedical equipment, referencing the manufacturer's service manual.
  • Complete work requests generated manually and/or by computer to ensure timely completion and patient satisfaction.
  • Rotate on-call with Biomedical Technicians to ensure 24/7 coverage.
