Position Overview:

Scratchboard Kitchen is on the lookout for a dedicated Pastry Cook who possesses a keen eye for detail, a passion for learning, and a commitment to our culinary mission. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic kitchen environment, effectively communicate with team members, and consistently deliver high-quality pastry preparations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to a detailed prep list and follow instructions provided by the Executive Chef or Sous Chefs. Your primary duties will include crafting our daily pastry offerings and preparing ingredients for both pastries and line service.
  • Demonstrate the ability to meticulously follow recipes and comply with our established standard operating procedures.
  • Uphold the highest standards of quality in all pastry creations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations consistently.
  • Exhibit the ability to follow recipes and uphold the culinary standards set forth by the chef.
  • Welcome constructive feedback with a positive attitude.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Compensation Package:

  • Hourly Rate: $13 - $16/hour, commensurate with experience
  • Benefits: Health insurance, optional vision and dental coverage, daily family meal, and dining discounts

Physical Requirements:

  • This role requires the ability to see, hear, speak, reach, and frequently lift up to 25 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. The position involves sitting, standing for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during shifts. These physical demands can be met with or without reasonable accommodations.
