Blood Specimen Collector III

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist III to join our team at Dean's Professional Services. As a Phlebotomist III, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients and preparing those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect blood samples from patients for medical testing or donation.
- Verify patient information before drawing blood.
- Label and store blood samples to help doctors diagnose and treat patients.
- Assemble and maintain equipment such as needles, test tubes, and blood vials.
- Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time.
- Maintain a safe and professional environment.
- Perform verification of patient demographic info/initials including patient signature post-venipuncture to verify tubes were labeled in their presence and that the name on the label is correct.
- Maintains required records and documentation.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent – Required.
- 5 years of phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections – Required
- Minimum 3 years in a Patient Service Center environment – Preferred
- Phlebotomy Certification – Required
- Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training – Preferred
- Customer service in a retail or service environment – Preferred
- Keyboard/data entry experience – Required
- Must have EXCELLENT people skills with lots of patience and nurturing.
- Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable
- Capable of handling multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
- Must demonstrate Superior Customer Focus; ability to communicate openly and transparently with peers, supervisors, and patients; ability to accelerate and embrace change; and knowledge of our business.
- Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.

- Must be able to make decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment.
Job Details:
- Float Position -Floaters travel between multiple sites and are expected to be on time at whatever site they are covering for that day.
- Schedule: 6:00 am – 6:00 pm(shifts vary)
- Starting at $20/hr. (Based on experience)
