Phlebotomy Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist I to join our team at Quest Diagnostics in Youngstown, OH. As a Phlebotomist I, you will be responsible for collecting blood specimens from patients in a clinical setting, ensuring accurate and efficient processing of samples for laboratory testing.
Key Responsibilities- Collect blood specimens from patients using established procedures and protocols.
- Administer oral solutions to patients as required.
- Verify patient information and test orders using lab technology systems and approved tools.
- Accurately enter data into computer systems and maintain accurate records.
- Process specimens, including labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing, and preparing for transport as required.
- Perform non-patient facing duties, including inventory management, supply ordering, and sanitizing equipment.
- Read, understand, and comply with departmental policies, protocols, and procedures.
- Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical training, such as medical assistant or paramedic training, preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred, required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
- One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience required.
