Estimated Salary: $44,117 - $61,159 per annum

This exciting opportunity will involve working as part of a dynamic team in an outpatient dialysis setting. As a Renal Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and supporting the renal health needs of our patients.

About the Job:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing ongoing surveillance of dialysis machines, water systems, and unit supplies, as well as participating in patient care under the direction of a registered nurse.

Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize, organize, and deliver patient and technical care in a timely manner as delegated by CP/RN.
  • Assess patient condition prior to initiation and during dialysis, performing 30-minute checks of patient and documenting any change in patient's condition.
  • Interact with healthcare teams to support and reinforce patient/family teaching plans.
  • Assist in planning department maintenance and share responsibility for ensuring adequate supplies, performing technical duties related to opening and closing of the unit and reuse procedures.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of college coursework in science, medical electronics, or health science preferred.
  • One year of medical experience, CNA, EMT, Phlebotomy, or equivalent required.
  • CAHT - State of California Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT) required.
  • BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required.
