Staff Development Registered Nurse Job Description

At Arbors at Minerva, we are committed to providing exceptional care and services to our residents. As a Staff Development Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our staff receives the training and education necessary to provide high-quality care.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement training programs for new and existing staff members
  • Conduct regular competency assessments to ensure staff meet state and federal requirements
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to ensure clinical competency of nursing staff
  • Assist in department budget preparation and contain expenditures within budget
  • Conduct and coordinate OSHA/Risk Management program
  • Ensure educational curriculum meets or exceeds state, federal, and accreditation requirements
  • Plan and conduct state and federally required in-service programs
  • Conduct certification or training programs for Nursing Assistants
Requirements:
  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing, BS degree preferred
  • Licensed as a RN required
  • Valid CPR teaching certificate, if applicable
  • Current with state Continuing Education (CE) Requirements
  • Three years of nursing experience, of which one year was in a long-term care environment
  • One year of experience as an instructor preferred
